Potterhead ϟ

Besides my love for fashion, baking and cooking, I also make time for reading. May it be magazines, news papers, books and blogs, I love reading them all. And one of the book series I went gaga over is J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. I am one proud Potterhead. I prolly have read this series more than five times already. And when I say 'series' it means all the seven books: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chambers of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. If you're also a big fan you'll understand where all this is coming from. Anyway, you must have notice why all of a sudden blog about my cray cray love for Harry Potter. It's because the shirt I'm wearing is actually a product of being a Potterhead. I got this shirt from Dream a Little More. Dream a Little More is an online shop for simple tees with extraordinaire print designs. And they started with the Potterhead Collection. (Yes. I am not alone) They are known worldwide (yes. they ship internationally) for their different collections like the Games Collection, Unwritten, and many more. Besides from shirts, they also sell tote bags and offer different cuts for the simple tees. I was in awe particularly with this design since the concept of the print is about my fave love team of all time, Ron and Hermione.

The best thing about statement shirts is you can pair them with almost anything, jeans, shorts, and in my case, a skater skirt. I bought this skirt during my weekend trip at GH tiangge last month and was starting to worry what to pair it with. But when I bought a couple of DLM (Dream a Little More) shirts my problem was solved. *Insert FB thumbs up symbol here*

I actually wore this to watch my sister model for a fashion show this afternoon. And let me take this opportunity to invite you guys to like City Youth Official 2013 page, and support my sister by liking her picture here. She's one of the official candidates for Miss Youth Nagueno 2013 and she needs more "likes". Please do help us. It won't take more than 10 seconds to do so.

Ri-crochet

I am soo happy and proud of myself that I have been actively updating this blog. hhi. Anyway, I'm here to update you guys with another summer post. We went on a biglaan outing for mother's day with my relatives (mother's side). We went to Peñafrancia Resort soo early just to get a cottage for the family. Talk about sleeping for just a few hours since I stayed up late to finish baking and decorating the cupcakes. (Yes. Besides fashion, I also love cooking and baking.)

I planned this ensemble long before summer even started and reserved it for a family outing. I thought floral prints matched with a crochet vest is perfect for summer. I love this vest so much that I almost want to pair it with everything. hahaha. Also, the sunnies. ♥_♥ I have been looking for a pair of these for ages but I always end up disappointed since it always gets sold out before I even place an order. But The Vaintage Shoppe came to the rescue. I love it soo much na kahit umuulan na I'm still wearing it. Okay. I kid. Just indoors. (hahah. mas malala). But you guys should agree how adorable these sunnies are. For the look's color pallete, pastel colors are my thing. So, I know you wouldn't be surprised with which colors I paired with.

Summer Weekend

I am back for another summer blog post. Hoooray! Me and my Diamond fam (h/s classmates) went out of town for our summer outing. We slept over at Mark's place in Bato then went to Balerite Resort in Buhi in the morning. I was really happy when my Mom and Auntie permitted me to go. You see, when I was still a student, me and my siblings were not allowed to attend sleepovers and swimming outings but now that I am all grown up, I got two thumbs up from them.

Since it was a summer outing, I tried my luck on nautical stripes. For it resembles summer for me. I got this top in a thrift store. It has this awkward length that it could be mistaken as a dress. But since it was a little too short for me I wore shorts and as for the material, it is actually sheer so I also wore a tank top underneath.

It was really hot that day. Good thing I have my trusty sunblock with me. The place was really nice. Although, the water level of the adult pool is a bit too high than the usual. Still, I enjoyed just being with my friends. I hope we could do this every year and take it to the next level. Maybe Bora or Caramoan next year. *fingers crossed* Who's up for that?

Just a quick blog post for you guys since I got bored with what I am watching (Missing You). I am watching it online instead of the television since I could feel the real emotion when it is in raw Hangungmal* (Korean speaking language) *correct me if I'm wrong, just got this from google.

Anyway, this is what I wore to attend a Sunday mass. It was ridiculously hot that I decided to wear a skirt and a simple white top. My sisy Ara just came from Manila after attending a leadership training so I went home to visit them.

I know it is too early for this skirt to have a comeback (blogged it here). But I just couldn't help it. It is totally in right now. Plus, it matches a few of the things I bought during my weekend trip that I blogged about here which is this cute bow belt that I got from The Landmark for less than a hundred pesos (yes. I was surprised too) and this necklace that I got from GH Tiangge for just a hundred pesos. :D

To show you how glaring the sun was. Don't mind the bg. hehe

Hashtag: Candy Photo a Day

Candy Magazine is celebrating the success of their 150 issues, as they released the 150th this month of April.  As part of this special month, Candy challenged true-blue Candy readers to post a photo on instagram according to the theme of the day. Hence, the hashtag to be used #candyphotoaday. Since, I don't have an instagram account (ikr. so primitive) I posted my first five pictures on twitter but since my 3g connection failed to upload the sixth, since then I haven't uploaded a photo a day. *Whattashame! In short, I failed. To make up for this (if that is even possible), I challenged myself to compile my old pictures instead but still according to the theme of the day.

Here's the theme for each day

To those who doesn't know me, I am a huge fan of Candy Mag. You see, I grew up with glossy pages. My Mom loves collecting magazines and so passed it on to us by buying us Disney Princess Magazines. If I could remember it right, it was Princess Belle as their first ever cover girl. We started with the Disney Princess, then Total Girl and now Candy Magazine. But when my allowance could now afford to buy an issue every month, I already started buying monthly for myself. And so I have built my own collection from my very first (own purchase) from way back Jan-Feb. 2008 I did not miss an issue ever since. 

Back to the photo challenge, let me now start with the very first.
